PRODUCTION

My job as a producer is to get the music to sound like it does in your head.
Exactly what the job of a producer is hard to quantify because it depends on the band, project and what you are looking to achieve, but it is a more hands on approach.
If you would like me to produce your record there is no additional charge from my standard recording rates. For costs please see my the bottom of the page.
I also offer a remote recording service with top level session players. I get heavily discounted rates from the musicians and can pass these savings on to you. I have a range packages for soloists and bands.

Singer Songwriters / Vocalists

Don't have your own band? Then look no further!
I have an network of incredible session musicians that I regularly record with, giving you access to the very best players but at affordable prices.
We start by recording a guide track, and then I will remote record the other instruments, then come to you for finishing the track.
DISCOUNTED PRICE PER ADDITIONAL INSTRUMENT RECORDED AND EDITED - JUST £60

Exactly how many songs we can record in a day depends on the material, how long and complex it is and how many overdubs/harmonies you are looking to do.
On average in one day (£150) I can record and mix two tracks.
So as a guide two tracks for a singer songwriter with drums and bass guitar recorded remotely would cost £390 - (£150 to record two tracks of you and your guitar + mix the track, £60 x2 tracks x3session players per track)
*Prices are subject to track length and complexity, no travel costs required for remote recording session musicians but travel is extra for recording your parts.
String/horn sections and orchestral recording
Have you ever thought a song needs a string quartet or a horn section to take it to that next level but you just don't have the budget to make it happen?
I use my existing relationships with top players and arrangers who regularly record commercial hit records, and offer a discounted service to independent artists.

I will work with you and your producer to make sure the tracks are recorded in the right format, and I can either comp and edit or send you the raw files. If you have an idea of how the parts should go then I can arrange/score them for you. If you would like me to write the parts from scratch then please get in touch for a quote.

One of my specialities is working with electronic dance music producers to write and record horn or string sections for their productions. Two examples here
Stickybuds
We created a sample library of licks all in the same key and BPM for him to use in his projects/make into a sample pack
Duke Skellington
We took his midi horn line and beefed it up with two trumpets 3 saxes two trombones and a sousaphone
